HERE IS SOME EASY WAY TRICK TO EXPLAIN THE FLOW AND ITS TYPES

SO READ CARE FULLY READ AND AND COMMENT AND SHARE

continuum :

it is convenient to disregard the atomic nature of the fluid and view it as a continous , homogenous matter with no holes that is continuum.

                                                       types of fluid

1. steady and unsteady flows
2. laminar and turbulent flows
3. rotational and irritational flows
4. compressible and imcompressible flows
5. uniform aand non uniform flow

1. steady and unsteady flows :

it is define as that type of flows in which the fluid which is characterstics like veloccity, pressure , density etc at a point do not change with time
unsteady fllow iss deifne as that a type of flow , in which the velocity , pressure , density etc at a point do not change with time .

[example :

 flow of liquid thrugh a long pipe of costant diameter at either increasing or decreasing rate . )
example : flow of liquid through a long pipe of aconstant diameter at a constant rate

2. laminar and turbulent flows:

laminar flow is define as those types of flows in which the fluid particles move along well define paths or stream line and all the stream line are straight and parallel .

Example : {flow through a capillary tube .}

turbulent flow is that type of flew in whivh the particles move in zig zag way .

Example :{ flow in natural streams , artifical cahnnels , sewers etc . }

note : if the renolld number is less than 2000 , the flow is called laminar . if the reynold number is more than 4000 , it is called tubullent flow .

3. Rotational and Irrottattional flows :

Rotational flow is that type of flow in which the fluid particals whille flowing along stream line , also rotate about their own axis.

EXAMPLE :

flow of liquid in the rotating tank

2. if the fluid particals while flowing along stream lines , do not rotate about their own axis that type of flows is called irrotational flow

Example : flow over a drain hole of a stationary tank or a wash basin .

4. compressible and incomressible flows :

compressible flow is that type of flows in which the densitty of the fluid changes from point to point , or in other words the density ( p) is not constant for the fluid .

example : flow of geassess through orfices nozzells gas turbine , gas turbine etc.

inccompressible flow is that type of flow in which the density is constant for the fluid flow .

P= connstant

Example : subsonic aerodynamics

5. uniform and non-uniform flows :

uniform flow is defines as that type of flow in which the velocity at any given time does not change with respect to space .

where , flow through a straight pipe of constant diameter .

non uniform flow is that type of flow in which the velocity at any given time change with respect to space .

Example : flow arround a uniform diaammeter pipe -band or a canal bend and flow a non-prismatic or channel
